Barcelona injury, suspension news vs. Celta Vigo: Alejandro Balde, Marc-Andre ter Stegen updates

Sports Mole looks at Barcelona's injury and suspension news ahead of their La Liga clash with Celta Vigo.

Barcelona will be aiming to continue their charge towards the La Liga title when they host Celta Vigo on Saturday afternoon.

The Catalan giants will enter the match off the back of a 3-1 defeat to Borussia Dortmund in the second leg of their Champions League quarter-final, but they still managed to advance to the semi-finals courtesy of a 5-3 aggregate success.

Hansi Flick's side beat Leganes 1-0 in La Liga last weekend, meanwhile, and they are currently top of the table, four points ahead of second-placed Real Madrid in the battle for the title.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Barcelona's injury and suspension news ahead of the clash with Celta, who will enter the match off the back of a 2-0 defeat to Espanyol.

Possible return date: Unknown

Bernal suffered an ACL injury against Rayo Vallecano in the league earlier this term, and he is out for the season, with the youngster working to be ready for pre-season ahead of the 2025-26 campaign.

Marc-Andre ter Stegen

Possible return date: May 4 (vs. Real Valladolid)

Barcelona remain without their number one goalkeeper Ter Stegen due to the serious knee injury that he suffered in the clash with Villarreal on September 22. However, the German is now back on the training field and making excellent progress in his recovery, with a return in the early stages of May believed to be a serious possibility.
