Nice boss Lucien Favre rules out the possibility of Jean Michel Seri leaving the club this summer amid speculation linking him with Barcelona and Arsenal.

Nice manager Lucien Favre has ruled out the possibility of Jean Michel Seri leaving the club this summer.

The likes of Barcelona, Arsenal and Roma had all been linked with a move for the midfielder, who scored seven goals in 34 appearances to help Nice to a third-place finish and Champions League spot in Ligue 1 last season.

Barca were understood to hold the keenest interest in the 25-year-old after missing out on both Dani Ceballos and Marco Verratti, but Favre has insisted that there is no chance he will allow another key player to leave the club.

"Seri stays, it's final. We've already had four starters leave and we will not allow another to go because they are very difficult to replace," he told reporters.

Seri joined Nice in 2015 and has missed just four league games in his two seasons at the club.
