Brighton & Hove Albion centre-back Adam Webster has trained with the first-team squad ahead of Saturday's Premier League clash with Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.

The 27-year-old has been sidelined with a groin injury since February 16, and he has subsequently missed the last six league games.

Brighton head coach Graham Potter provided a positive update on the defender's fitness on Thursday, revealing to the press that he has 'made some progress' in his recovery and that he 'might be involved' at the Emirates.

The Seagulls have since posted a video on Twitter of the first-team squad training at their American Express Elite Football Performance Centre, and Webster is pictured taking part with his teammates.

Webster's absence has been felt by Brighton, as they have claimed just one point from their last six league games, in which they conceded at least twice in five straight defeats before playing out a goalless draw with basement club Norwich City last weekend.

Adam Lallana (hamstring) is also closing in on a return and will assessed ahead of kickoff, while Jakub Moder is set for a lengthy spell on the sidelines after sustaining an ACL injury.

Brighton, who won 2-1 at the Emirates in December 2019, could move level on points with both Crystal Palace and Leicester City inside the top 10 if they were to cause an upset against Champions League-chasing Arsenal this weekend.
