Preview: Andorra vs. Grenada - prediction, team news, lineups

Sports Mole previews Monday's International Friendlies clash between Andorra and Grenada, including predictions, team news and possible lineups.

Andorra will be bidding to make it back-to-back friendly victories on Monday evening when they take on Grenada at Estadi Nacional.

The home side will enter the contest off the back of a 1-0 win over Saint Kitts and Nevis on Friday, while Grenada played out a goalless draw with Gibraltar in their last match on Wednesday.

A first-half goal from Jordi Alaez handed Andorra a 1-0 victory over Saint Kitts and Nevis on Friday, and Tricolors will now be looking to make it back-to-back wins when they host Grenada.

Unsurprisingly, Andorra have never qualified for a World Cup or European Championship, and they will not be present at this year's World Cup, having finished fifth in Group I, picking up just six points from their 10 matches.

Koldo Alvarez's side will soon turn their attention to the UEFA Nations League, starting their campaign against Latvia at the start of June, and the fact that they have won two of their last four matches should mean that confidence is high heading into this contest.

Andorra are also unbeaten in their last two friendly matches, drawing with Gibraltar before beating Saint Kitts and Nevis last time out, and they will fancy their chances of picking up another positive result against Grenada, who have not won a match for almost a year.

Indeed, Grenada's last victory of any kind came in a World Cup qualifier against the US Virgin Islands last March, but they finished fourth in Group A, collecting only three points form four matches.

Like Andorra, the Spice Boys have never qualified for the World Cup, and they will enter this game off the back of five defeats from their last six matches in all competitions.

Grenada have twice finished second in the Caribbean Cup, though, and competed in the 2009 edition of the CONCACAF Gold Cup.

Michael Findlay's side drew 0-0 with Gibraltar last week, meanwhile, and the national team have only lost three of their last seven friendly fixtures.

Team News

Andorra's starting side is expected to be similar to the one that took to the field for their last match, with Cucu operating at the tip of the attack.

Alaez was on the scoresheet against Saint Kitts and Nevis and should retain his spot in the starting side, while 39-year-old Marc Pujol is also expected to be included from the first whistle.

Moises San Nicolas is the most experienced member of the defence, and the centre-back is also likely to feature from the start in this match.

As for Grenada, Gloucester City's Dejon Noel-Williams led the line against Gibraltar last time out and that is again expected to be the case in this match.

Bromley's Reice Charles-Cook, Shrewsbury Town's Aaron Pierre, Dulwich Hamlet's Tyrone Sterling and Aldershot Town's Jacob Berkeley-Agyepong should also be in the first XI.

Romar Frank is also likely to retain his spot on the right side of the attack for the visitors.

Andorra possible starting lineup:
Alvarez; Alavedra, San Nicolas, Llovera, Cervos, Rubio; Rebes, Blanco, Pujol, Alaez; Cucu

Grenada possible starting lineup:
Reice Charles-Cook; Ettienne, Pierre, Noel-McLeod, Sterling; McQueen, Theodore; Frank, Berkeley-Agyepong, Regan Charles-Cook; Noel-Williams

We say: Andorra 1-1 Grenada

Both teams will believe that they should be picking up a positive result in this match, as there is not too much between them in terms of quality. It is likely to be a close affair on Monday, and we have had to settle on a low-scoring draw here.
