A man has been convicted for a racist attack on Manchester City star Raheem Sterling.
Karl Anderson, 29, was arrested by Greater Manchester Police on Tuesday morning after a complaint was reported.
The individual, who has been in trouble for football-related violence before, pleaded guilty to racially aggravated common assault in court today.
Sterling was subjected to the abuse while driving to training ahead of City's 4-1 victory over Tottenham Hotspur last weekend.
The footballer was kicked four times by the convict, who also hurled racial slurs at the 23-year-old after initially asking for an autograph for his girlfriend, according to The Mirror.
Mr Anderson, who the court heard has had 25 convictions for 37 offences, has been jailed for 16 weeks and ordered to pay £100 in compensation.
