Wolverhampton Wanderers will reportedly re-sign Richard Stearman on a season-long loan from Fulham on deadline day.

Wolverhampton Wanderers are reportedly set to complete the signing of Fulham centre-back Richard Stearman on a season-long loan today.

The 29-year-old spent seven years at Molineux before being sold to the London side for £2m a year ago, despite being named the Wolves player of the season for 2014-15.

According to the Express & Star, Wolves are keen to bolster their back line before tonight's transfer deadline and see Stearman as the ideal man to fill their troublesome centre-back position.

Stearman has fallen down the pecking order under Fulham boss Slovisa Jokanovic and is thought to have been told that he can depart Craven Cottage on loan this season.

Wolves are also expected to complete the big-money signing of Monaco striker Ivan Cavaleiro today as the signing count under new Chinese owners Fosun International reaches 13.
