Result: Wolverhampton Wanderers score late on to beat against Crewe Alexandra

Nouha Dicko scores a late winner as Wolverhampton Wanderers beat Crewe Alexandra 1-0 in a pre-season friendly at Molineux.

Wolverhampton Wanderers scored in the 89th minute thanks to a Nouha Dicko goal to win their pre-season friendly against Crewe Alexandra.

Wolves started the brighter of the two teams with some neat play unable to break down Crewe's stubborn defence in the early stages of the game.

New summer signing Rajiv van La Parra showed attacking intent which was applauded by the travelling support as the Dutch winger's dribbling skills impressed the crowd.

After a goalless first-half, it was Crewe who came out the stronger of the two teams and rattled the bar for the second time in the match.

With both teams pressing for the decisive goal, it was Wolves who claimed it as Dicko slotted home in the 89th minute to snatch them victory at Molineux.
