West Ham United reportedly opt to scrap a loan move for Inter Milan defender Davide Santon after the Italy international failed a medical in London.

West Ham United have scrapped a loan move for Davide Santon after the Inter Milan defender failed a medical, according to reports.

The 25-year-old travelled to England earlier this week to undergo a medical after the Hammers had agreed to pay £460,000 to take him on loan for the season.

However, Sky Sports News claims that West Ham have now ended their interest in the Italy international after he failed to pass the second part of his medical.

Santon, who started his career at Inter, spent three-and-a-half years at Newcastle United before returning to the Nerazzurri in 2015.
