Argentine striker Jonathan Calleri could become a West Ham United player next week after a deal was reportedly struck with Deportivo Maldonado for his signature.

West Ham United are close to completing a deal to bring Jonathan Calleri to the Olympic Stadium on a season-long loan, according to a report.

The 22-year-old is said to have been tracked by a number of clubs across Europe, while interest from the Premier League is also thought to be strong.

It is claimed by The Sun that West Ham are winning the race to sign the Argentine striker from Deportivo Maldonado after his stint at Brazilian outfit Sao Paulo comes to a close.

Hammers boss Slaven Bilic could also add Carlos Bacca to his attacking ranks in the coming days after a deal was struck with AC Milan.
