Jay Rodriguez is pleased to have helped West Bromwich Albion claim their first Premier League victory since January with his winner at Manchester United.

Jay Rodriguez has expressed his delight as West Bromwich Albion claimed their first Premier League win since January, a 1-0 victory at Manchester United.

The Baggies have endured a dismal campaign and currently languish bottom of the table, nine points adrift of safety with four games to play, and with just four wins all season.

However, West Brom put in a gutsy performance to defeat the league's second-placed side on Sunday, Rodriguez scoring a second-half winner at Old Trafford to hand the title to Manchester City.

The England international was delighted to score against "the biggest club in the world" and also praised interim manager Darren Moore for the upturn in morale within the Albion camp.

"Everyone stuck together," Rodriguez told Sky Sports News. "Darren Moore has got us working, it's clicking and a great feeling.

"This is a game you always look forward to at Old Trafford, it is the biggest club in the world, to score here is amazing and the buzz I feel for how hard we've worked is amazing to me."

West Brom return to action next Saturday when they host Liverpool in the day's early kickoff, at 12.30pm.
