Ayew: 'Swansea moving in right direction'

Jordan Ayew believes that Swansea City are "moving slowly" in the right direction and appear good value to survive in the Premier League.

Jordan Ayew has claimed that Swansea City are showing they have what it takes to survive in the Premier League and are "moving slowly" in the right direction.

The Swans secured a 1-1 draw against Everton on Saturday after outplaying Sam Allardyce's side for long periods at the Liberty Stadium.

Although wins for rivals Crystal Palace and Huddersfield Town saw Swansea drop two places to 17th in the table, they now boast a five-point cushion above the relegation zone.

"I think is a positive moment for the club and for me because we don't have to forget where we were six months ago," Ayew, who scored his 11th goal of the season, told Sky Sports News.

"We are five points ahead of the bottom three now and this is a step forward.

"Even though we are moving slowly, it is a positive, and if we keep on playing like this we will make everyone happy."

Swansea return to action next Sunday with a league trip to Manchester City.
