Jake Livermore is upset to see West Bromwich Albion hit form so late on in the Premier League season as they sit on the brink of relegation.

Jake Livermore has bemoaned the fact that West Bromwich Albion have hit form so late on in the Premier League season as they sit on the brink of relegation.

The Baggies followed up last week's 1-0 win at Manchester United with a stout 2-2 draw against Liverpool, coming back from two goals down at The Hawthorns.

Despite the impressive result, bottom side West Brom will still be relegated if Swansea City win at Manchester City on Sunday and Crystal Palace avoid defeat against Watford on Saturday.

"It's a shame really," Livermore, who scored for the Baggies against Jurgen Klopp's side, told Sky Sports News.

"We've started to gain that belief and confidence. All we can do is keep fighting for each other, the fans and staff.

"We can agree it's not for the want of trying but the rub of the green hasn't quite happened when last season maybe it did.

"If any of us knew what has gone wrong we'd have changed it 10 games ago. We've thrown away points from leading positions and it seems to have gone that way this season."

West Brom wrap up their season with games against Newcastle United, Tottenham Hotspur and Palace.
