Valencia defender Joao Cancelo remains coy on his future when questioned on reported interest from Barcelona and Atletico Madrid.

Valencia defender Joao Cancelo refused to commit his future to Cesare Prandelli's side when questioned on reported interest from Barcelona and Atletico Madrid.

The Portuguese international, who joined Valencia from Benfica in 2015 after a loan spell at the Mestalla, has been linked with both Barcelona and Atletico over the last couple of weeks.

It is understood that Barcelona will move for the 22-year-old in January, and Cancelo admitted that "things can change from one day to the next" when questioned on his future plans.

"Things are going well for me but I have to continue to work because things can change from one day to the next. Life is about learning and we have to continue to work hard to turn things around," Cancelo told Super Deporte.

The full-back was part of the Valencia team that suffered a 3-2 defeat to Barcelona in Saturday's La Liga clash at the Mestalla.
