Valencia confirm that interim head coach Pako Ayestaran has accepted their offer of a permanent two-year contract.

Pako Ayestaran has been named as the new Valencia head coach on a permanent basis.

The 53-year-old was in interim charge at the Mestalla ever since Gary Neville was sacked in late March.

Having guided the club away from relegation danger, Ayestaran has now been rewarded with a two-year contract.

However, in the official statement, there was no word on Phil Neville's future at the club.

The Englishman, who has coached Los Che since last summer, recently revealed that he hoped to retain his job.
