Swansea City face Wolverhampton Wanderers in EFL Trophy

Swansea City and Wolverhampton Wanderers' Under-21s sides will face off in the third round of the EFL Trophy.

Swansea City's U21s side will take on Wolverhampton Wanderers' U21s in the third round of the EFL Trophy.

The competition - previously known as the Football League Trophy - had included 16 Under-21s sides from select Premier League and Championship outfits for the first time this season, in addition to all 48 teams from League One and Two.

In the third round of the competition, due to be played in the second week of January, League One leaders Scunthorpe United face a trip to Oxford United, while third-tier strugglers Chesterfield visit League Two Luton Town.

Meanwhile, Blackpool will welcome League Two playoff rivals Wycombe Wanderers to Bloomfield Road.
