Tottenham Hotspur sign Pau Lopez on loan from Espanyol

Espanyol goalkeeper Pau Lopez joins Tottenham Hotspur on a season-long loan deal, the Premier League club announce on their Twitter page.

Espanyol goalkeeper Pau Lopez has joined Tottenham Hotspur on a season-long loan.

Spurs have been strongly linked with a move for the 21-year-old over the last couple of weeks, but it had been thought that the Premier League club would fail in their attempts due to Espanyol's stance.

However, on transfer deadline day, Mauricio Pochettino's side have managed to acquire the services of the Spaniard, who will spend the 2016-17 campaign on loan at White Hart Lane.

Lopez, who will wear the number 30 for his new club, has followed Georges-Kevin N'Koudou to Tottenham after the winger joined on a five-year contract from Marseille earlier tonight.
