Midfielder Christian Eriksen reportedly turns down Tottenham Hotspur's latest offer to tie him down to a long-term deal at White Hart Lane.

Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly failed in their latest attempts to secure the long-term future of playmaker Christian Eriksen.

Eriksen still has two years remaining on his contract at White Hart Lane but Spurs are keen to hand the Danish international an extended stay in North London after three excellent years with the Premier League side.

However, according to The Sun, the 24-year-old has turned down the club's offer of an improved contract as he wants to be among the top earners in Mauricio Pochettino's side.

Spurs are expected to return with fresh terms in the hope of finalising a new deal for a player who has scored 30 goals in 131 appearances since signing from Ajax in 2013.
