Christian Eriksen's agent claims that the Denmark international may have to consider his future at Tottenham Hotspur as a result of the UK's decision to leave the EU.

The United Kingdom's decision to leave the European Union could force Christian Eriksen to seek a move away from Tottenham Hotspur, according to the player's agent.

Eriksen, a key member of the Spurs side that came close to ending the club's long-running title drought last season, was thought to be open to penning a new long-term deal at White Hart Lane.

That now appears to be far from the case, however, as agent Martin Schoots has claimed that Friday's Brexit result may see a raft of exits from the English top flight.

Speaking to Italian publication La Repubblica, he said: "We are underestimating the danger. The truth is that half the Premier League players will see their work permits turned into scrap paper. In a situation like this, I'd take my client away from Tottenham."

Eriksen has previously been linked with a move to Roma, having spent the last three years in North London upon joining from Ajax.

Christian Eriksen is believed to be close to a switch to Borussia Dortmund, but the link with the Reds persists.
