Tottenham Hotspur team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Burnley

Sports Mole rounds up all of Tottenham Hotspur's latest injury and suspension news ahead of their EFL Cup clash with Burnley on Wednesday.

Tottenham Hotspur will endeavour to push their Premier League woes to one side when they take on Burnley in Wednesday's EFL Cup last-16 clash.

Nuno Espirito Santo's side were sunk 1-0 by West Ham United in the weekend's London derby, with Michail Antonio condemning Spurs to another dismal defeat.

The Lilywhites were also made to work for their spot in this stage of the EFL Cup, with Nuno's old side Wolverhampton Wanderers holding Spurs to a 2-2 draw before the North London side produced the goods in the penalty shootout.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up all of Tottenham's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the contest.

Ryan Sessegnon

Status: Out
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: Unknown

Ryan Sessegnon would have hoped to earn some valuable minutes in this contest, but Santo has admitted that the youngster will be out for "a while" longer with his hamstring injury, ruling him out of this contest.

Matt Doherty

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Knock
Possible return date: October 27 (vs. Burnley)

Matt Doherty suffered a knock during the most international break, and while Santo is hopeful that the right-back can rejoin training this week, this game may still come too soon for him.

TOTTENHAM'S SUSPENSION LIST

Spurs have no players suspended for this match.
