Southampton are reportedly not considering a move for former Sampdoria boss Walter Zenga as they continue to search for a replacement for Ronald Koeman.

Southampton have reportedly not made any attempt to secure the services of former Sampdoria manager Walter Zenga.

Earlier on Monday, it was claimed that the Saints had made an approach for the 56-year-old, who is currently without a club after spells with the Italian side and UAE outfit Al Shaab.

However, according to Sky Sports News, the Premier League team are not considering Zenga as a potential replacement for Ronald Koeman, who left for Everton earlier this month.

Zenga remains favourite with the bookmakers, but Rudi Garcia, Manuel Pellegrini and Frank de Boer are all said to be in the running to make the move to the south coast.
