Sheffield Wednesday have announced the signing of David Jones from Burnley for an undisclosed fee.

The 31-year-old featured 41 times for the Clarets last season as they earned promotion to the Premier League.

However, he has opted to drop back into the Championship to represent the Owls, despite starting in the Clarets' 1-0 defeat to Swansea City.

Jones, who has earned promotion to the top flight four times in his career, has previously played for Derby County, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Wigan Athletic.
