Vincent Sasso joins Sheffield Wednesday on permanent deal from Braga

Sheffield Wednesday announce the return of Vincent Sasso from Braga on a permanent deal following last season's loan spell.

Sheffield Wednesday have announced the return of Vincent Sasso from Braga on a permanent deal for an undisclosed fee.

The 25-year-old spent last season on loan at Hillsborough, making 19 appearances, and once he receives international clearance, he will become a permanent fixture to the squad.

"I'm really happy to be back and this is better than a loan move for me," Sasso told the club's official website. "I know the staff, the club and all the people working here. This helps a lot because I know exactly where I'm coming into and hopefully I can help the team.

"We went from strength to strength last season, it was really good for the fans and a great experience for all the players. In part it was difficult for me because I had a small problem with my knee but now I feel 100%.

"I am much more accustomed to the Championship, especially the physical side of the game. I know when the referee will blow his whistle and when he won't. It is different in Europe and where I have been playing my football. I understand the intensity and I know exactly what to expect. There will be no problem for me."

Sasso will wear the number 39 shirt.
