Paris Saint-Germain attacker Kylian Mbappe is reportedly determined to leave the club in January after being left feeling "betrayed" by the club's board.

Paris Saint-Germain striker Kylian Mbappe is reportedly hoping to force an exit from the club in January, just months after signing a new deal.

Talk of the 23-year-old's future dominated the talk of the most recent transfer windows, with Real Madrid determined to bring him to the Bernabeu alongside Karim Benzema.

Liverpool were also credited with an interest in Mbappe, but he seemingly ended speculation over his future by signing a new lucrative three-year deal with the French champions until 2025.

Mbappe has acted effectively with Neymar and Lionel Messi in the early stages of the 2022-23 season under Christophe Galtier, despite reports of a frosty relationship with the former.

The former Monaco man has scored 11 goals in 12 appearances across all competitions so far this term, although he hinted at unhappiness in the PSG ranks after the weekend's 0-0 draw with Reims.

Mbappe uploaded a story to Instagram with the caption #pivotgang, referencing his preference to play alongside a recognised striker such as Olivier Giroud in the French setup.

Now, a report from Marca claims that Mbappe and PSG's relationship is broken beyond repair, and the striker will push for an exit from the Parc des Princes over the winter.

Mbappe has allegedly been left angry with promises that have not been fulfilled by the PSG board since he signed his new deal, one of which was regarding his on-field role.

As a result, the France international feels "betrayed" by Nasser Al-Khelaifi and co, and there is "no turning back" as he aims to end his stint with the capital club in the coming months.

While speculation over Mbappe's future has naturally led to renewed links with Real Madrid, the report adds that the striker has no chance of linking up with the Champions League holders.

As part of his new deal, Mbappe and PSG supposedly agreed that he would not leave the club for Real Madrid, and the attacker's options for pastures new are therefore rather limited.

Liverpool may be the only realistic option for Mbappe in 2023, but the Reds already spent big in the summer to sign Darwin Nunez, who could become their most-expensive player of all time.

Mohamed Salah also penned a new contract until the end of the 2024-25 season, and Liverpool are also expected to offer Roberto Firmino a new short-term deal at the very least.

However, Mbappe is still said to be dreaming of a future more to Real Madrid, and such news comes at an inopportune time as PSG prepare to meet Benfica in the Champions League.

The ex-Monaco man now has 182 goals and 88 assists in 229 outings for Les Parisiens and will aim to surpass Edinson Cavani as the club's highest-ever Champions League goalscorer on Tuesday night, as he is currently level with the Uruguayan on 30 strikes in Europe's elite tournament.
