Nasser Al-Khelafi: 'Thiago Silva staying with Paris Saint-Germain'

Paris Saint-Germain president Nasser Al-Khelafi claims that the club will not be selling Thiago Silva to Barcelona.

Paris Saint-Germain president Nasser Al-Khelafi has claimed that the club will not entertain an offer from Barcelona for Thiago Silva this summer.

The Brazilian defender has been a reported target for the Liga champions but the PSG chief has stated that he expects the former AC Milan centre-back to stay with the Ligue 1 winners.

"Thiago will not leave for Barcelona. He has a four-year contract left," Al-Khelafi told RMC Sport.

"He will line up for us against Bordeaux for the Trophee des Champions on August 3. So he will definitely be with us. But we, on the other hand, are following some Barca players."

Al-Khelafi also revealed that Les Parisiens are targeting Roma centre-back Marquinhos and Lille full-back Lucas Digne.

"Transfers are not finished for PSG this summer. We will go for another player," he added.

"Marquinhos and Digne? Those are two young players. We are discussing with their clubs right now. We're just discussing. There is no agreement in place."

A recent report claimed that the club were on the brink of signing Roma defender Marquinhos.

PSG unveiled Edinson Cavani as their latest big-money signing on Tuesday.
