Sports Mole takes an in-depth look at how Paris Saint-Germain could line up for Wednesday's Champions League clash with RB Leipzig.

Paris Saint-Germain are preparing to cope without Lionel Messi for Wednesday's Champions League clash with RB Leipzig.

The 34-year-old was passed fit for the win over Lille but came off at half time with muscular discomfort, while he is also believed to be nursing a knee issue at the same time.

Messi has now officially been ruled out of this encounter, with the six-time Ballon d'Or winner joining Leandro Paredes, Sergio Ramos and Marco Verratti in the treatment room.

However, Kylian Mbappe is expected to overcome an ear infection in time to spearhead the attack, with Neymar and Angel Di Maria starting either side of the World Cup winner.

Idrissa Gueye is set to hold his place in midfield, but one of Danilo Pereira or Georginio Wijnaldum will likely be sacrificed for the returning Ander Herrera, and the former may be the one to drop out.

Juan Bernat enjoyed his first start for over a year against Lille on Friday but is surely not ready for two starts in quick succession, so Nuno Mendes is poised to return here.

Achraf Hakimi returns from a domestic ban to demote Thilo Kehrer back down to the bench, while Gianluigi Donnarumma may make way for Keylor Navas, with the gloves being swapped all season long so far.

PSG possible starting lineup: Navas; Hakimi, Marquinhos, Kimpembe, Mendes; Herrera, Gueye, Wijnaldum; Di Maria, Mbappe, Neymar
