Cristiano Ronaldo will make his 220th Portugal appearance against Germany in the semi-finals of the UEFA Nations League on Wednesday night.
In what will be a rare appearance in Europe for Ronaldo these days, he will seek to improve on a very poor career record against Die Mannschaft, which has so often cost his country at major tournaments.
Portugal do have one honour not in Germany's cabinet, though, and that is the Nations League, and Ronaldo will hope that experience can carry them through to Sunday's final here.

There are very few countries that can say they have kept Ronaldo quite as quiet as Germany have over his glittering career.
Despite playing 90 minutes in all five career meetings, Ronaldo has suffered defeat on each occasion, with all of the matches coming at major tournaments.
At the 2006 World Cup, both nations' races were already run as they met in the third-place playoff that ended in a 3-1 win for Germany, but there was a lot on the line when they renewed acquaintances at Euro 2008.
Germany edged a five-goal thriller in the quarter-final held in Basel, as Ronaldo struggled to stamp much influence on proceedings, despite coming off the back of a sensational season at Manchester United that won him the Ballon d'Or later that year.
Ronaldo and Portugal were beaten again at Euro 2012, but that did not impact them too much as they still advanced to the knockout stages, as it is the 2014 defeat that sticks out as a real low point.
Pepe's first-half red card meant Portugal were up against it early on, and Ronaldo cut a frustrated figure for much of the afternoon in Salvador as Germany thrashed them 4-0, and contributed to their group-stage exit at that World Cup, held in Portuguese-speaking Brazil.
The solitary goal of Ronaldo's 136 at international level that have come against Germany was at Euro 2020, but was ultimately in vain, because even though it looked as though his opener was the first step in ending the barren run, Portugal conceded four goals before the hour and lost 4-2.
