Four Brazilian clubs will be present at the upcoming Club World Cup this month, with Palmeiras, Fluminense, Flamengo and Botafogo all heading to the United States flying the flag for the South American continent.
As a hotbed of some of the world's greatest young talent, there is a high chance clubs in Europe will sit up and take notice of some of the players on display at these four clubs over the next month, with a view of signing them later this summer.
Here, Sports Mole looks at 10 of the players who could make a name for themselves at the tournament in the USA this summer.
Alvaro Montoro (Botafogo)
Botafogo's first signing confirmed for the Club World Cup, Montoro is considered a gem of Argentine football. Discovered by Velez Sarsfield and sold to “Fogao” for $9m (£6.5m), the midfielder has scored three goals and provided one assist in 19 matches this season.
A player with good technique on the ball, Montoro is known for his sharp vision of the game, tactical intelligence, and likes to control the pace of the match and create attacking opportunities for the team - if he makes his debut for Botafogo in the competition, he is worth keeping an eye on.
Evertton Araujo (Flamengo)
In a club with several big names such as Danilo and, Alex Sandro, and the incoming Jorginho, young Evertton Araujo is one of the young surprises in one of the strongest squads in South American football. The performances of the midfielder has improved each game, and in the United States, the 22-year-old can show that he has the Premier League profile.
Wesley (Flamengo)
Revealed by Flamengo's youth academy, Wesley has become a regular starter recently, and the right-back's good performances has earned him an opportunity in the Brazilian national team.
At just 21 years old, this very offensive full-back has already been sought after by European clubs such as Bournemouth, AC Milan and others, and would be a great option for English football.
Wallace Yan de Souza Barreto (Flamengo)
Flamengo product Wallace Yan has been steadily gaining ground in the first team this season.
The forward is a valuable asset and could prove his worth at the Club World Cup, and it would come as no surprise that the 20-year-old catches the eye of English football, but not immediately, as he is still developing physically and adapting to first team football.
Riquelme (Fluminense)
One of the great names of his generation, Riquelme is yet another great revelation from Fluminense's strong youth academy, and the striker is already being closely followed by European clubs, especially with his call-ups to the Brazil youth teams.
Having just turned 18, the athlete could feature in the Premier League in the future; skilled and quick, he is a left-footed winger who tends to play wide on the right side.
Facundo Bernal (Fluminense)
From Uruguay, Fluminense took a gamble on Facundo Bernal when he signed in the transfer market last year, and since then, the defensive midfielder has proven to be a gem.
At 21 years old, the player has also been called up by the Uruguayan national team and could break out in the Club World Cup, despite only recently recovering from a thigh injury, but he has been an important part of the team's midfield.
Martinelli (Fluminense)
Despite being a frequent target of criticism from Fluminense fans, Martinelli has interesting characteristics and is an important part of the Tricolor midfield. A defensive midfielder, the 23-year-old player has good reading of the game, is strong in marking and an efficient tackler.
Revealed in Fluminense's youth teams, Martinelli is recognized for his consistency and dedication, even when coming in for criticism by fans. In addition to his role as a defensive midfielder, the number 8 has also played as a defender, demonstrating tactical versatility and collective commitment.
Agustín Giay (Palmeiras)
A product of San Lorenzo, Giay had a difficult start at Palmeiras last year, but now he seems to have found his feet, since featuring for Argentina's youth teams and is on the rise in his career.
If he does make the move, the 21-year-old has everything he needs to shine in the Premier League; athletic and intense, he has been a key player in the Palmeiras defence, whether as a right-back or as a defender in a back three.
Maurício (Palmeiras)
Having played for Cruzeiro and Internacional, Mauricio arrived at Palmeiras for a substantial fee, but even so, the midfielder has stood out and gained more and more traction.
Guaranteed to be present at the new FIFA Club World Cup, the 23-year-old athlete could enter the Premier League's radar as a technical attacking midfielder, who covers a lot of ground attacking areas, and is still looking to reach his full potential.
Benedetti (Palmeiras)
The most inexperienced player on the list is an 18-year-old who is still looking for his first games in the first team. The defender gained the status of a promising youngster and was also called up by the youth teams of Brazil recently, despite only playing two games, but Palmeiras' strong squad and good options in defence limit his chances, even though the talent is there.
At 1.97m tall, his aerial game is a strong point and he has scored several goals for the under-20 team.
