Andre Onana is reportedly determined to fight for his career at Manchester United amid the speculation surrounding his future.

Andre Onana is reportedly determined to fight for his career at Manchester United amid suggestions that Red Devils head coach Ruben Amorim wants to bring a new goalkeeper to the club this summer.

The Cameroonian arrived at Old Trafford in 2023 off the back of an excellent season at Inter Milan, but he has found it difficult to show his best form for the 20-time English champions, making a number of high-profile mistakes.

Onana's form has again been patchy this season, keeping just 11 clean sheets in 48 appearances in all competitions, conceding 63 times in the process.

The 29-year-old was dropped against Newcastle United in the Premier League last month after a poor display against Lyon in the Europa League, but he only spent one game out of side, being recalled for the second leg of the semi-final with the French outfit.

Onana has missed Man United's last two Premier League games against Brentford and West Ham United, with Altay Bayindir instead being given a chance due to the fact that the Red Devils are focusing on the Europa League.

Onana 'desperate to stay at Man United'

The club's number one is set to be between the sticks for the Europa League final against Tottenham Hotspur on May 21, but there are currently huge question marks surrounding his future.

A number of clubs from the Saudi Pro League are believed to be keeping a close eye on the situation amid suggestions that he could be available during the summer transfer window.

However, according to The Sun, Onana has no interest in leaving Old Trafford, with the stopper determined to prove that he can be Amorim's long-term number one at the club.

The report claims that Onana's 'sole focus' is on Man United, but the decision could be taken out of his hands, should the Red Devils make it clear that they are looking to bring in a new goalkeeper this summer.

Will Bayindir stay at Man United?

There are also question marks surrounding number two Bayindir and whether he is good enough to be Man United's number one.

The Turkey international is not believed to be willing to spend another campaign being second choice, so it would not be a surprise to see him make the move away from Old Trafford at the end of the campaign.

Tom Heaton had seemingly been set to leave on a free transfer at the end of June and potentially retire from professional football, but it is understood that the club's number three stopper is in line for another 12-month extension.

Torino's Vanja Milinkovic-Savic, who spent time with Man United as a youngster, is believed to be on the club's radar ahead of the summer transfer window, while Brighton & Hove Albion's Bart Verbruggen is also admired.
