Brentford head coach Thomas Frank has issued a transfer warning to Bryan Mbeumo's potential suitors.
Mbeumo faces an uncertain future at the Gtech Community Stadium amid speculation linking him with a move away this summer.
Manchester United have reportedly held talks with the Cameroon international over a potential transfer to Old Trafford.
Newcastle are set to rival Man United in the transfer race, with the Magpies said to be lining up a transfer bid for Mbeumo's signature.
Arsenal are another club that have been linked with a player who is under contract until the summer of 2026, with an option to extend by a further year.

Frank issues Mbeumo transfer warning
While Brentford face a battle to retain Mbeumo's services, Frank has made it clear that it will take a significant bid for the Bees to part ways with one of their most prized assets.
"It is clear that if he is to be sold, it must be for a nice, nice amount," the Brentford boss told Viaplay. "It is a lot. Mucho. Really a lot.
"Then it is clear that it is impossible to replace him one for one. It cannot be done. There is a reason why he costs x number of million pounds, and we do not have x number of million pounds to buy for.
"I would say that I would be surprised if a lot of big clubs don't look at him. I would be surprised with what he has to offer.
"How many wingers score 20 goals for a mid-table club? And then with seven assists plus his work ethic. And his character. All these things mean that he has a lot, so he is a good player."

Mbeumo's eye-catching season
As Frank mentioned, Mbeumo impressed with his performances on the pitch throughout the 2024-25 season, hitting 20 goals in 38 Premier League matches to help his side achieve a top-half finish.
The 25-year-old finished joint-fourth in the Premier League scoring charts with Nottingham Forest's Chris Wood and only behind Manchester City's Erling Haaland, Newcastle's Alexander Isak and Liverpool's Mohamed Salah.
Mbeumo's teammate, Yoane Wissa, finished just behind in fifth place with 19 goals, meaning the pair scored nearly 60% of Brentford's Premier League goals between them in 2024-25.
Impressively, Mbeumo ended the Premier League campaign in the top three for goals and assists, registering a total of 27 goal contributions to leave him in third spot behind Isak and Salah.
