Manchester United are reportedly willing to pay £47m to sign in-demand Spanish striker Alvaro Morata.

The 23-year-old, who joined Juventus from Real Madrid in 2014, has been linked to Arsenal and Chelsea in recent weeks.

Madrid are expected to trigger a €30m (£23.4m) buyback clause before selling the striker on in the summer transfer window.

According to Marca, new United boss Jose Mourinho is keen to bring Morata to Old Trafford and are willing to pay close to £50m for the Spaniard's services.

Mourinho previously coached Morata at Madrid and gave the forward his debut during a three-year spell in charge.
