Gabriel Magalhaes and Oleksandr Zinchenko return to the Arsenal XI for their clash with Manchester United, who name Rasmus Hojlund on the bench.

Gabriel Magalhaes and Oleksandr Zinchenko have returned to the Arsenal XI for their Premier League clash with Manchester United at the Emirates.

The defensive duo start a Premier League game for the first time this season, with Zinchenko fully recovered from a troublesome calf problem and Gabriel taking advantage of Thomas Partey's absence.

Arsenal confirmed that the Ghana international is out with a groin injury - one day after his diagnosis was revealed by his national FA - as Ben White reverts to right-back, allowing Gabriel and William Saliba to pair up in the heart of the defence.

Aaron Ramsdale also retains his place over David Raya in goal, while Eddie Nketiah - fresh from his maiden England call-up - holds off the threat of Gabriel Jesus to continue in the number nine role.

Speaking of strikers, Rasmus Hojlund has made a competitive squad for the first time in Man United colours, but the Dane is only considered for a spot on the bench after his back injury.

Tottenham Hotspur loanee Sergio Reguilon and Altay Bayindir are also among the replacements as Diogo Dalot holds his place, while Victor Lindelof comes in for the injured Raphael Varane as expected.

Arsenal: Ramsdale; White, Saliba, Gabriel, Zinchenko; Odegaard, Rice, Havertz; Saka, Nketiah, Martinelli
Subs: Raya, Tomiyasu, Kiwior, Jorginho, Smith Rowe, Nelson, Vieira, Trossard, Jesus

Manchester United: Onana; Wan-Bissaka, Lindelof, Martinez, Dalot; Fernandes, Casemiro, Eriksen; Antony, Martial, Rashford
Subs: Bayindir, Reguilon, Mejbri, Evans, Pellistri, Garnacho, Hojlund, Maguire, Gore
