Chelsea's John Terry pays tribute to ex-Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson

Chelsea captain John Terry pays tribute to former Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson on Instagram.

Chelsea captain John Terry has expressed his gratitude towards former Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson.

The 35-year-old, who has spent his entire career playing for United's rivals Chelsea, uploaded a picture of himself as a young teenager with Ferguson.

Terry has won 16 trophies with the Blues, and he seems to have credited Ferguson for some of that success by writing: "Flashback to a young 14-year-old JT. Who would have thought I would go on to win four Premier Leagues and five FA Cups. I have so much respect for Sir Alex Ferguson and will never forget what he done for me and my family."

Ferguson is regarded as one of the most successful managers in football history having guided United to 38 trophies in his career.
