Jamie Redknapp criticises Tottenham Hotspur manager Jose Mourinho following Spurs' 3-1 defeat against Manchester United on Sunday.

Former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Jamie Redknapp has criticised Jose Mourinho following Spurs' defeat against Manchester United.

Tottenham took the lead through Son Heung-min during Sunday's clash in North London, only to then concede three second-half goals as Fred, Edinson Cavani and Mason Greenwood sealed a 3-1 triumph for the Red Devils.

The result damaged Tottenham's hopes of a Champions League finish, with the club currently six points behind fourth-placed West Ham United, having already been eliminated from the Europa League.

Redknapp, who made 48 appearances for Tottenham, criticised Mourinho on Sky Sports News: "Jose is looking at it and trying to blame everybody else, he has to take responsibility. When you're a good manager, you organise your team to get that result whatever it takes. A great manager would find a way to get them organised.

"What Jose has also done in this period is he's made them a really tough watch. Too often I watch this side and there's no flair or excitement. I don't think this is a bad squad of players, I've said it before and I stand by it."

Tottenham face Everton and Southampton in their next two Premier League outings, before playing Manchester City in the EFL Cup final on Sunday, April 25.
