A report claims that Pep Guardiola's transfer plans at Manchester City are on hold while the club attempt to shift a number of their high earners.

Pep Guardiola's transfer plans at Manchester City are reportedly on hold while the club attempt to shift a number of their high earners this summer.

Yaya Toure, Fernandinho, Pablo Zabaleta, Gael Clichy, Jesus Navas, Bacary Sagna and Willy Caballero are all entering the final year of their contracts with the Premier League club.

While Toure, Fernandinho and Clichy are expected to remain at the Etihad, the futures of the remaining four are unclear and according to The Mirror, Man City are having difficulty finding clubs to take on their big wages.

The same report also claims that all seven are due loyalty bonuses for completing their deals and would therefore be prepared to run down their contracts and leave on free transfers in the summer of 2017.

Ilkay Gundogan, Nolito and Oleksandr Zinchenko have all joined Guardiola at Man City this summer.
