Sports Mole takes an in-depth look at how Manchester City could line up for their Premier League clash with Crystal Palace on Saturday lunchtime.

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola only has one confirmed absentee for his side's trip to Crystal Palace in the Premier League on Saturday lunchtime.

With a win this weekend potentially being enough to wrap up the title, City will endeavour to secure all three points without John Stones, who serves the second of a three-game ban after his red card at Aston Villa.

Aymeric Laporte should therefore earn an immediate recall to the defence alongside Ruben Dias, although Nathan Ake is another left-footed option for Guardiola.

Joao Cancelo played just over 60 minutes against Paris Saint-Germain and should be raring to go here, while his replacement on the night - Oleksandr Zinchenko - may enjoy a run-out on the left-hand side.

Fernandinho is a candidate to start in midfield if Rodri is rested with the Champions League in mind, while Ilkay Gundogan brushed off any concerns of a serious injury after Idrissa Gueye's horror tackle and is expected to feature.

Bernardo Silva could also earn another start if no risks are taken over the recently-fit again Kevin De Bruyne, and a complete overhaul in attack could see Ferran Torres, Gabriel Jesus and Raheem Sterling all start.

Jesus is only one strike away from reaching 50 Premier League goals, while Sterling has not had it all his own way recently, but he has scored six goals and assisted one more in his last seven starts against Palace.

Manchester City possible starting lineup:
Ederson; Cancelo, Dias, Laporte, Zinchenko; Fernandinho, Gundogan, Silva; Torres, Jesus, Sterling
