Sports Mole's countdown of the top 25 Manchester City players from the Premier League era continues with number 10 - Shaun Wright-Phillips.

It was clear early on that Manchester City had one for the future when Shaun Wright-Phillips joined at the age of 17, and it didn't take long for him to become a valued member of the first team.

The winger's pace and direct running caused plenty of defenders problems, and his performances during his first stint at the club saw him named City's young player of the year for a record four seasons in a row.

A career-best tally of 10 Premier League goals in 2005 earned him a place in the PFA Team of the Year and a big-money move to free-spending Chelsea that summer, but he was back at the Etihad Stadium three years later.

The influx of new talent at City over the next few years saw first-team chances limited for Wright-Phillips, though, and he left in 2011 having scored 47 goals in 275 appearances for the club across all competitions during his two spells.
