Pep Guardiola returned to Camp Nou on Wednesday night as Manchester City met Barcelona in the group stages of the Champions League.
Chances were few and far between in the first 45 minutes of action, but it was the home side that led courtesy of a strike from Lionel Messi in the 17th minute of action.
Barcelona were given another boost early in the second period when Man City goalkeeper Claudio Bravo received a straight red card for handling a Luis Suarez effort outside of the penalty area and eight minutes later, Messi scored his second of the match.
Messi then completed his hat-trick in the 69th minute, before Jeremy Mathieu picked up a red card in the 73rd minute to leave both sides with 10 men at Camp Nou.
There was to be more late action though as Neymar missed a penalty in the 87th minute, only to score two minutes later as the home side recorded a 4-0 win.
