Madison Keys wins her first ever match at the WTA Finals as she overcomes Dominika Cibulkova in straight sets.

Madison Keys kept herself in contention for a final four spot at the WTA Finals by beating Dominika Cibulkova in their red-group clash in Singapore on Tuesday.

The 21-year-old American has now recorded her first ever victory at the tournament after losing the opener to Simona Halep.

Keys took just over an hour to overcome Cibulkova 6-1 6-4, and she found her stride quickly as she earned a double break in the first set.

It was a comfortable start for Keys as Cibulkova failed to create a single break point, but the Slovakian put up more of a fight in the second half.

It was not enough to trouble Keys, though, as she wrapped up the match without dropping a serve.
