Real Sociedad have given a maintenance job to a man that had been sleeping rough directly outside the Spanish club's stadium for the last eight months.

The Spanish man, known as Ruben, is believed to have been homeless for the past three years, but has now been employed by the La Liga outfit to form part of their maintenance team.

"I was starting to believe there was no good people," Marca quotes Ruben as saying. "After so many blows, you start to give up hope, but this is different."

It is understood that Ruben has signed a two-month contract with Sociedad and the job, which could become a long-term position, has allowed him to find temporary accommodation.
