Sports Mole takes an in-depth look at how Liverpool could line up for Saturday's Premier League clash with Brighton & Hove Albion.

Liverpool are facing an injury crisis in midfield ahead of Saturday's Premier League clash with Brighton & Hove Albion at Anfield.

Jurgen Klopp's side are set to make do without Harvey Elliott, Thiago Alcantara and James Milner, the latter of whom was forced to come off in the first half of last weekend's 5-0 drubbing of Manchester United.

Naby Keita was stretchered off in that game but did not sustain a serious injury, and he is one of three doubts for this clash alongside Fabinho and Caoimhin Kelleher, but Alisson Becker was always going to wrestle the gloves back off Adrian.

With Joe Gomez and Joel Matip both lining up from the first whistle against Preston North End in midweek, it is safe to assume that Ibrahima Konate will earn a recall here after producing a solid display at Old Trafford alongside Virgil van Dijk.

Fabinho and Keita have chances of being passed fit for this clash, but should Klopp not have them at his disposal, Curtis Jones and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain could join Jordan Henderson in the middle.

Diogo Jota and Roberto Firmino both enjoyed complete rests in midweek, but the former may edge out his counterpart for a start here as Klopp keeps an eye on next week's visit of Atletico Madrid in the Champions League.

Sadio Mane will be out to score his first Premier League goal against Brighton at the sixth attempt, but in contrast, Mohamed Salah will aim to build on a record of nine goal contributions from eight top-flight games with the Seagulls.

Liverpool possible starting lineup: Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Konate, Van Dijk, Robertson; Jones, Henderson, Oxlade-Chamberlain; Salah, Jota, Mane
