Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp reveals that his side are dealing with some fresh COVID-19 cases ahead of Saturday's Premier League clash with Brighton & Hove Albion.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has revealed that he must work around some COVID-19 cases for Saturday's Premier League clash with Brighton & Hove Albion.

The second-placed Reds - who suffered an outbreak which turned out to be mostly false positives back in January - are aiming to close the gap to leaders Manchester City to three points at the Amex Stadium.

Fewer coronavirus cases have been recorded across the Premier League in the past couple of weeks, but Klopp has conceded that he has some fresh victims of the virus in his ranks.

Speaking to reporters at his pre-match press conference, Klopp said: "We have a few little things, COVID is also not over. We try everything to avoid it but it is not really possible. Players and staff had no symptoms, but they can't be involved. We will see."

On a brighter note, Klopp confirmed that Roberto Firmino would be back in the squad for Saturday's game after working his way back from a muscular problem.
