Leicester City are reportedly considering a bid for Sevilla captain Vicente Iborra ahead of next season.

Sevilla midfielder Vicente Iborra has reportedly emerged as a transfer target for Leicester City.

Foxes boss Craig Shakespeare is looking to strengthen his first-team squad after the club only finished in 12th place last season, and it appears that they are plotting a move for the experienced Iborra.

According to Sky Sports News, Leicester are preparing to offer a fee of £12.5m for a player who has starred in the centre of Sevilla's midfield for the past four seasons.

The 29-year-old has scored 24 goals in 110 La Liga appearances, but he is said to be open to making the switch to the Premier League this summer.

Iborra is no stranger to the East Midlands, having represented Sevilla when they lost out to Leicester in the last 16 of the Champions League earlier this year.

Leicester have already spent £17m to sign Hull City defender Harry Maguire ahead of the next campaign.
