Steve Bruce wants repeat of opening-day win

Hull City boss Steve Bruce wants his side to repeat the performance from their opening-day win over Queens Park Rangers when they face Aston Villa on Sunday.

Hull City boss Steve Bruce has challenged his side to repeat their performance from the opening day of the season when they take on Aston Villa.

The Tigers beat Queens Park Rangers 1-0 at Loftus Road as James Chester scored the only goal of the game to get their Premier League campaign off to the perfect start.

Bruce told the club's official website: "It will be difficult, just like any away game in the Premier League. Villa have had a decent start and they've brought one or two back in like [Alan] Hutton and [Charles] N'Zogbia, players who were in the shadows for a long time.

"We had a wonderful start two weeks ago so can we go and get another result at Villa and make it a great start for us? If we can get something at Villa, we'll have five or seven points on the board and that would be a wonderful start."

Hull face Paul Lambert's side at Villa Park later today.
