Sports Mole takes an in-depth look at how France could line up for Wednesday's World Cup 2022 semi-final with Morocco.

France manager Didier Deschamps has been handed concerns over Adrien Rabiot and Dayot Upamecano ahead of Wednesday's World Cup 2022 semi-final with Morocco at the Al Bayt Stadium.

Both players are understood to have missed training on Tuesday due to cold-like symptoms and are doubts for the semi-final, but Deschamps could still have them available in a settled XI.

Hugo Lloris witnessed Tottenham Hotspur teammate Harry Kane send a rare penalty over the crossbar on Saturday night, and the shot-stopper will now aim to keep his first clean sheet of the 2022 tournament.

Aiding him in his quest should be Raphael Varane and Upamecano, although Ibrahima Konate is on standby if the latter cannot make it, while Theo Hernandez and Jules Kounde continue in the full-back roles for Les Bleus.

Aurelien Tchouameni went from hero to zero at the weekend - scoring a peach of an opener before fouling Bukayo Saka and giving away a penalty - but the Real Madrid man will partner either Rabiot or Youssouf Fofana here.

Creative fulcrum Antoine Griezmann, who bagged both assists in the quarter-final, will continue just ahead of the duo in the number 10 role, supported by Ousmane Dembele on the right and Kylian Mbappe on the left.

France have now won all 10 World Cup matches with Mbappe in the starting lineup, and Olivier Giroud will also be out to become the oldest player in history to score five goals in a single World Cup.

France possible starting lineup: Lloris; Kounde, Varane, Upamecano, T. Hernandez; Tchouameni, Rabiot; Dembele, Griezmann, Mbappe; Giroud
