Everton reportedly come to an agreement with Leicester that will see assistant manager and head of recruitment Steve Walsh become the Toffees' new director of football.

Everton have reportedly agreed a deal with Leicester City to make Steve Walsh their new director of football.

Walsh currently acts as assistant manager and head of recruitment at the King Power Stadium, playing a major role in helping the Foxes to the Premier League title last season.

The 51-year-old was responsible for bringing the likes of Jamie Vardy, Riyad Mahrez and N'Golo Kante to the club, and signed a new deal with Leicester at the end of their title-winning campaign.

However, Everton are understood to be determined to take Walsh to Goodison Park, and Sky Sports News now reports that the two clubs have agreed a deal in principle.

The Foxes yesterday turned down Everton's first approach, but the Toffees have now offered to promote him to director of football should he make the move to Merseyside.
