Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri admits to being upset by the loss of N'Golo Kante from his midfield engine room, but claims that his side can successfully move on.

Claudio Ranieri has admitted that everybody connected with Leicester City is still "crying" following the loss of midfield man N'Golo Kante to Chelsea.

The France international, a key member of last season's title-winning side, left the champions to make a £32m switch to Stamford Bridge last weekend.

Ranieri is remaining optimistic that his side can cope without Kante in the team next term, though, pointing to the loss of another high-profile name last year as inspiration to successfully move on.

"Last season we lost Esteban Cambiasso and everybody was crying," Sky Sports News quotes the Italian as saying. "Now we are crying because we lost Kante. Don't worry. Football in Leicester will keep going."

Leicester have managed to keep hold of one of their star performers this summer, with Jamie Vardy turning down a move to Arsenal, but Riyad Mahrez could soon be on his way if recent reports are to be believed.
