Sports Mole takes an in-depth look at how England could line up for Saturday's UEFA Nations League clash with Italy.

England midfielder Kalvin Phillips has emerged as a major doubt for Saturday's UEFA Nations League clash with Italy at Molineux.

The Leeds United man was taken off early with a "severe dead leg" during Tuesday's draw with Germany and may be forced to take his place on the sidelines alongside Fikayo Tomori.

There is hope over Phil Foden and James Justin's availability for the contest, but Trent Alexander-Arnold has left the camp for a well-earned holiday.

Gareth Southgate still has the option to bring in Reece James at right-back for Kyle Walker and may be tempted to do so here, with Kieran Trippier holding the fort on the opposite side and Aaron Ramsdale displacing Jordan Pickford in goal.

Harry Maguire may also be in need of a rest as Marc Guehi partners John Stones, while Phillips's likely absence opens the door for Jude Bellingham to return alongside James Ward-Prowse, with Declan Rice granted a break.

Bukayo Saka and Raheem Sterling's spots may also be at risk this week, with Jack Grealish and Jarrod Bowen - the former of whom provided a bright spark off the bench in Munich - hopeful of joining Mason Mount in the final third.

Harry Kane broke the 50-goal mark for England at the Allianz Arena and should lead the line once again here, but Tammy Abraham will be pining for minutes as ever.

England possible starting lineup: Ramsdale; James, Stones, Guehi, Trippier; Ward-Prowse, Bellingham; Bowen, Mount, Grealish; Kane
