Derby County reportedly reject a £3m bid from newly-promoted Burnley for Republic of Ireland international Jeff Hendrick.

Derby County have rejected a £3m offer from newly-promoted Burnley for midfielder Jeff Hendrick, according to reports.

The 24-year-old came through the ranks at Derby and has since gone on to make 210 appearances for the club, scoring 27 goals.

BBC Sport reports that Premier League side Burnley have attempted to prise him away from the iPro Stadium, but their initial bid has been knocked back by the Rams.

Hendrick is contracted to the Championship club until 2018, having signed a new four-year deal in 2014.

The Republic of Ireland international was part of his country's squad at Euro 2016 this summer, starting all four games in the tournament.
