Former Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri reportedly wants to reunite with Ruben Loftus-Cheek at Lazio, with the pair enjoying a good relationship at Stamford Bridge.

Incoming Lazio manager Maurizio Sarri reportedly wants to reunite with Chelsea's Ruben Loftus-Cheek in Italy.

Sarri is thought to have agreed a deal to become Lazio's new manager following Simone Inzaghi's move to Inter Milan, and the 62-year-old is already getting to work on squad alterations.

Loftus-Cheek enjoyed a fruitful relationship with Sarri during the latter's stint at Chelsea in the 2018-19 campaign, as he netted 10 goals and assisted five more in Premier League and Europa League action.

The 25-year-old's Chelsea career has not panned out as hoped since Sarri's departure, although injuries have not helped his cause, and Corriere dello Sport claims that a reunion at Lazio could be on the cards for both men.

Loftus-Cheek was shipped out on loan to Fulham during the 2020-21 season and made 30 Premier League appearances for the Cottagers, but he scored just once and could not save Scott Parker's side from relegation.

The Englishman's deal at Stamford Bridge does not expire for another three years, and he has amassed 12 goals and 11 assists from 82 appearances for Chelsea in all competitions.
