Sports Mole looks at the most expensive signings in Chelsea's illustrious history.

Chelsea have just become world champions after comprehensively overcoming Paris Saint-Germain by a 3-0 scoreline in the Club World Cup final.

With that success coming just six weeks after lifting the Conference League trophy, a positive spin is now being put on the ownership of Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital.

During the competition in the United States, Chelsea committed to a deal that may eventually reach £60m to acquire the services of Brighton & Hove Albion forward Joao Pedro.

On the all-time list, the Brazil international becomes Chelsea's 10th most-expensive signing, and his goals in the semi-finals and final have already paid back some of the fee that was shelled out on his signature.

With the 2025 summer transfer window barely halfway through, there is potential for more big-money additions to be made by BlueCo as they attempt to give Enzo Maresca the talent capable of winning next season's Premier League and Champions League.

Here, Sports Mole takes a look at the top 10 most expensive signings in Chelsea's history, which have been split over the Roman Abramovich era and the co-ownership of Boehly and Clearlake Capital.
